About us

Zhangjiagang Guotai-Huarong New Chemical Materials Co., Ltd. was founded in 2000. We are a technologically advanced company which produces both organosilicon compounds and electrolyte. We rank among the three biggest suppliers of electrolyte for production of lithium-ion batteries in the world and operate in conformity with the highest standards of ISO9001 and IATF16949.
Extending the company’s activity to Prusice, a town in Lower Silesia voivodeship in Poland, is our first investment outside of China. This was made possible due to the cooperation between Zhangjiagang Guotai-Huarong New Chemical Materials Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Runtai Chemical Co., Ltd. based in China.

How will the plant influence the locals?

We deeply care about production standards, therefore our operations comply with European, Polish, and local standards. The plant will not influence the locals in any way whatsoever. This means that we are also ready to handle emergency situations should they arise. We have formulated precise emergency procedures and provided safety measures in case of potential industrial accidents. We strive to co-operate with organizational units of the education system, social services, healthcare institutions and other institutions which may be affected as a result of potential industrial accidents. All the necessary materials and reports relating to safety have been formulated and presented to relevant authorities.

How many people can expect to be employed in the company?

At the early stages of our operation in Prusice, we expect a workforce consisting of 70 employees. As we progress, we expect to hire around 150 employees.

What kind of employees are we looking for?

First and foremost, we are looking to hire people with previous experience in big enterprises in the chemical industry. Command of English is considered an additional advantage. New employees will undergo training to help them adapt to their roles. For more information on each position, please see the CAREERS tab.

Is previous experience a prerequisite for the job?

All newly hired employees undergo trainings helping them adapt to their new roles.

When is the start of production?

Production is set to start in 2022.

What is produced by the company and how big is the volume?

We produce electrolyte used in production of lithium-ion battery inserts. The inserts we produce are expected to be fitted in up to 1,000,000 car batteries each year.

Are there any benefits to the local communities?

Ever since the very early stages of our investment, we have aimed to support the local communities and we will continue to do so in the future. A production company of this size is going to noticeably influence development of the local economy by paying taxes to the local government and offering a wide array of job opportunities to the local people. We also aim to support and finance the development of local sports, events, and education. The electrolyte produced in our plant is going to provide companies based in Europe and around the world with means to obtain resources used in production of lithium-ion battery inserts currently found in electric cars. Basing the plant in the region of Lower Silesia expands the European and regional electric cars network.

Is the company going to establish partnership with local companies?

Yes, it is. Many local companies have become our partners already. We are looking to extend our partnership to regional universities to cooperate on research.

Are there any branches outside of Poland?

There are two additional branches in China, in the regions of Jiangsu and Fujian. Both of the plants also produce electrolyte.

Is the plant going to be self-sufficient or does it require deliveries from outside sources?

Most of our resources are going to be imported from China. Certain suppliers have already expressed interest in our operations and we are looking into possible opportunities for cooperating. We expect other foreign companies to follow suit and invest in the Polish market.

How big is the investment?

The total investment in our plant is going to amount to around $59 million.
