Chinese conglomerate Guotai-Huarong, a world leader in the production of battery cartridges for electric cars, will build a factory in Godzikowice in the Olawa municipality. The plant is expected to be built by 2020 and will be one of the largest in Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Polish branch of Chinese tycoon Guotai-Huarong Poland will build a $45 million factory in Godzikowice. Investor representatives say the electrolyte factory for lithium-ion battery cartridges will be one of the largest in Europe. The factory's annual production volume will allow it to supply battery cartridges to 1 million electric cars per year.<\/p>\n

Initially, 60 people will find work there, with a target of about 100 employees. Work is currently underway to gather the necessary documentation. The land for the factory has already been purchased. The plant is expected to be built by 2020.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The factory project in Godzikowice by Chinese investor Zhangjiagang Guotai-Huarong New Chemical Materials (GTHR), is part of a strategy to support the development of the electromobility industry in our country. We are extremely pleased that such investments are being made in Poland, which is becoming one of the most important participants in this industry worldwide. In the long run, this will translate into an increase in the popularity of electric cars on our roads, and consequently a significant improvement in air quality in Poland,\u201d \u2013 says Krzysztof Senger, PAIH vice president for foreign investment.<\/p>\n

China's Zhangjiagang Guotai Huarong Chemical New Material Co. Ltd. was established in 2000. It is a high-tech company producing organic silicon material for lithium battery cartridges. It is one of the three largest suppliers of electrolytes in the world.<\/p>\n

The investor stresses that it operates to the highest standards according to ISO9001 and TS16949. The Polish factory will be the third owned by GTHR and the first outside China. The factory under construction will double the company's production capacity.<\/p>\n

According to experts, the development of electric-powered vehicles will be the most important automotive trend by 2025, and Wroclaw fits perfectly into this trend.<\/a> LG will establish Europe's largest lithium battery factory for e-cars in the metropolitan area, while increased interest in electric-powered buses is also being reported by Volvo.<\/p>\n
