World Earth Day (22 April) has always been a call to action for us. Once again, we got together to take care of our local area – and it was brilliant!
For the fourth time, we took part in the “Żmigrodove Planet Love” campaign, organised in collaboration with the Żmigród Area Lovers’ Society. The driving force behind this event was one of our employees – Patryk Andrzejewski. Thanks to his passion and commitment, last Saturday as many as 50 people tidied up the Biodiversity Gardens, cycle paths, the banks of the River Sąsiecznica, and the areas along the railway line in Żmigród. The highlight was the planting of a commemorative oak tree – a symbol of our concern for the future.
– It’s not just about clearing up rubbish – it’s an important event that builds bridges between our company and the local community. It shows how working together can make a real difference in protecting the environment, inspiring young people and strengthening our sense of responsibility for the planet in our everyday lives – says Patryk Andrzejewski, the organiser of the campaign.
Everyone did a brilliant job, especially the Scouts from the 80th Żmigród Cub Scout Pack Hakuna Matata and the 3rd Multi-level Scout Troop Watra – they cleared up the rubbish with enthusiasm and a smile, sparing no effort.
Joint initiatives like this help to foster environmental awareness from a very young age. We have collected tonnes of rubbish, thereby protecting the soil, water and air – a clean environment means a healthier environment for us all.
We are proud of this collaboration – thank you for your commitment, and see you all next time!
