On August 19th we took the chance to participate in Prusice Municipality Harvest Festival held in Krościna Wielka. The event’s organization was made possible with the support of local companies, including but not limited to GTHR Poland, which supported the event financially and purchased gifts for lucky raffle participants.

The Harvest Festival, known to Poles as “Dożynki”, is a crucial festival in the eyes of the local community, as its arrival indicates entering the final stages of the harvest. Its celebration emphasizes the importance of local farmers both locally and the whole country. One of the aims of the festival is to engage with inhabitants of Prusice municipality and develop a sense of belonging.

This year, just as the year before, we were fortunate to have the possibility of supporting the organization of the festival not only through funding, but also through purchase of gifts, which were later given away in a raffle. The participants, with a bit of luck, could win prizes such as Lego sets. Proceedings from the raffle were later donated towards the goal of renovating the local shrine.

All participants were able to try locally sourced products at stalls ran by people belonging to local communities, experience folk groups’ performances, as well as participate in dance activities.
