Mid-Autumn Festival at GTHR Poland

On September 17, we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is one of the most important events in the traditional Chinese calendar celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month.

The holiday has its roots in ancient China and has been celebrated for more than 2,000 years. It originally concerned agriculture and was a holiday of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. Over time, it also took on a familial meaning, becoming an opportunity to gather with relatives and remember ancestors.

One of the most characteristic elements of the Mid-Autumn Festival are mooncakes, also known as “mooncakes.” These round, sweet snacks symbolize the full moon and are filled with a variety of fillings.

At our company, we combined Chinese and Polish traditions, serving not only mooncakes, but also delicious buds. This reference to two cultures created a unique atmosphere and gave our employees the opportunity to taste a variety of flavors.

Taking advantage of the joint meeting, we also organized a collection of items for flood victims. We will give the collected gifts to the Prusice Municipality to help the residents of the regions most affected by the elements.

The Mid-Autumn Festival reminds us that community and mutual aid are the foundations of a strong and sustainable society. In our company, we put these values into practice every day.
