Purchase of land for construction of GTHR factory

On May 29, 2018, representatives of the municipality of Olawa signed a notarial deed together with representatives of GTHR Poland.

The notarial deed finalizes the sale of 6.5 hectares of land in the Godzikowice Economic Development Zone. A factory for electric battery cartridges will be built on the site. About $45 million will be invested in the plant.

As one of the world's three largest suppliers of electrolyte for lithium-ion battery cartridges, we will build a factory for our flagship product in the Olawa municipality by 2020. This is another such large-scale investment in Lower Silesia. The project is part of the strategy of the Electromobility Development Program in Poland, which is being prepared and implemented by the Ministry of Energy. ”The factory project in Godzikowice by Chinese investor Zhangjiagang Guotai-Huarong New Chemical Materials (GTHR), is part of a strategy to support the development of the electromobility industry in our country. We are extremely pleased that such investments are being made in Poland, which is becoming one of the most important participants in this industry worldwide. In the long run, this will translate into an increase in the popularity of electric cars on our roads, and consequently a significant improvement in air quality in Poland.” – says Krzysztof Senger, PAIH Vice President for Foreign Investment.

The factory's location complements the European and regional electric car industry network. The factory's annual production volume will allow it to supply battery cartridges to 1,000,000 electric cars per year. Initially, 60 people will find work there, and eventually we plan to employ about 100 workers. Work is currently underway to gather the necessary documentation.
